Manhattan Neighborhood Network seeks a Drupal shop to update our main D6 site - MNN.org - to D7.
Manhattan Neighborhood Network is the largest Community Media Center in the United States. We operate two media production and education facilities in Manhattan and run four cablecast channels, reaching 620,000 cable subscribers in the borough.
This update will initially be a direct port of MNN.org from D6 to D7.
Secondly, we will integrate this new D7 site with our CM Drupal staff site.
Thirdly, we plan to make more substantial theme alterations in 2014.
Primary consideration will be given to developers with a demonstrated commitment to non-profits and community media, who would stay involved with the CM Drupal community. MNN has a longstanding commitment to CM Drupal, and working on this initiative could lead to more work as a developer for other sites around NYC and the US.
We're looking for an experienced developer with a strong portfolio of work, including:
Demonstrated experience of D6 to D7 site migration
D7 module development
History of code and documentation contribution to Drupal.org
Ability to work with other developers locally and remotely on CM Drupal
Local to NYC
Knowledge of Community Media
Understanding of TV Playback Servers
Please send a Detailed Portfolio, references, and availability to firstname.lastname@example.org
For those interested in talking further in person I, synchlayer, will be at October 30th's Worldwide Drupal Happy Hour – NYC Halloween edition.
